Prince Edward Island is an Island Province comprising of around 200 small islands. It is one of the smallest provinces and 600 Kms from Quebec City. The Island consists of two urban areas and is mainly dependent upon the three seasonal industries of agriculture, tourism, and fishery. There are limited resources when it comes to employment opportunities.

The island has two urban areas. The largest surrounds Charlottetown Harbour, situated on the island’s southern shore, and consists of the capital city Charlottetown. A much smaller urban area surrounds Summerside Harbour, situated on the southern shore 40 km west of Charlottetown Harbour, and consists primarily of the city of Summerside.

How to apply?

First of all, you need to create a profile in the PEI EOI system once the eligibility requirements are met. This profile includes your email address, identification information, passport details, etc. You will get a maximum of 100 points based on these selection factors such as age, language, education, employment, work experience, and adaptability.
Once your account is verified by the Canadian government, you can proceed with your profile. The profiles are exclusive, i.e., one person can have one profile at a time. The profile must be accurate and true.
Then on receiving the invitation from the PEI PNP, submit the application for the provincial nomination within 60 days along with all required documents.
Once selected, the candidate will be getting an ITA from the federal government of Canada.
After this, the candidates are required to submit their application electronically for permanent residence in the province.
