ALBERTA EXPRESS ENTRY STREAM
The candidates with strong ties to Alberta are targeted through this stream. They are the candidates who can be useful in assisting the economic development of Government. The AINP offers 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points and an invitation to apply for the permanent residence to the candidates nominated by a Canadian Province.
The consideration of candidates may extend to the International graduates who have pursued their studies in a Canadian post-secondary institution. However, there must be an e-mail sent to the candidates by the province to submit their applications.
Selection of Express Entry Candidates
The province sends an invitation, known as Notification of Interest (NOI) to the Foreign Nationals after receiving which, they can apply to the stream. Further, AINP directly contacts the efficient candidates through their Express Entry Profile based on their self-declared information in their applications.
When can a candidate receive NOI?
The candidates have chances of getting NOI from the province when they
However, the chances get more probable when candidates have one or more of the following factors as well-
The candidate is a graduate of an Alberta post-secondary institution with a valid job offer or has a valid Alberta job offer or work experience or both
The candidate has parent, child, brother or sister who has the Canadian Citizenship, provided that the relative must have a permanent residence in Alberta.
Factors that might result in decreasing the chance of issuance of NOI –
- When the Candidate’s Express Entry profile is about to expire in 3 months or less
- When the candidate is working in an occupation which is on the list of Alberta Opportunity Scheme Ineligible Occupations or a profession that has a high number of submissions in AINP streams.
- When the Candidate is employed with the Canadian Government and falls under the list of High wage and low wage occupation in the province of Alberta.
